the Pet Selector on the Home Page may be a useful tool in preparing to select the right kind of pet for you. You may also enjoy visiting PupQuest at www.pupquest.org for all kinds of information on all things puppy. Please remember when going to meet a new pet for the first time, it is best to avoid those pets who are being kept in unsanitary conditions and those that are easily startled or seem even a little fearful. Do not pity a dog that does not look well. These are red flags that indicate additional consideration should first be given. It is always advised to request any previous medical history on the pet and it's parents. Ask to meet the parents, if possible. Apples, of course, never fall far from trees. Any new friend should be overjoyed that you have come to play and may consider opening your heart and your home for a loving, lifelong relationship.
